In the 1980s the Merano Theatre Association commissioned author and actress Renate Abram to write about the history and development of the theatre and to gather together “everything available in terms of documents, proofs, theatre bills, reviews, etc.”. The result is a highly readable book that gives an idea of Merano theatre life and the history of Meran, with numerous details, extracts from documents and historical images.
